This project, in collaboration with TOTAL FRANCE, focusses on the study of the structure of supported Mo(Co)S2 catalysts, and how this structure is influenced by preparation and support properties. The preparation of the catalysts will be performed in collaboration with the Research Lab in Feluy (Belgium). Several characterisation techniques will be combined, but the main tool for 3D characterisation on a nanoscale will be electron tomography. Hence the development of suitable sample preparation techniques, and the study and interpretation of electron tomograms is an important part of the work. Final goal of the project is to relate the preparation and support parameters to the structural properties and finally catalytic performance of the catalysts.
- Conditions: The candidates are offered a full−time position for 4 years.
We are looking for an excellent and enthusiastic researcher with a relevant background and an MSc in Chemistry, Materials Sciences, or Physics. We have a preference for candidates with experience with electron microscopy.,
