The Australian offices of this well established oil and gas exploration and production company is looking for an intermediate and senior level Reservoir Engineer at this time. With interests Australasia, The Far East and South East Asia, the company is considered to be one of the leading energy providers in these regions and has a global workforce of circa 2000 employees. As a direct result of an advanced growth period and ambitious growth plans that the company is looking to recruit Reservoir Engineers to complement the existing team in Australia. Requirements of the Role:

The ideal candidate for these roles will be responsible for the reservoir/petroleum engineering management of a number of coal seam gas assets. The workload looks set to be varied and challenging and indeed very interesting and will involve:

  • Generating and implementing field developments plans to maximise value
  • Develop annual production forecasts
  • Recommend reserves updates
  • Develop documentation and presentation for project approval
  • Develop joint venture budgets

Education and Experience:

The ideal candidate will have a good first degree in a relevant discipline ideally coupled with an MSc. In addition this organisation will need to see sound experience in Reservoir/Petroleum Engineering management, ideally some of which should have been gained in an operating environment.

For the more senior role candidates will need to be able to demonstrate team lead skills and experience in project leadership and mentoring of more junior candidates. Good communication, interpersonal and team working capabilities are a must.
