6 PhD scholarships or Post doctorate fellowships - Research programme on control and optimisation of offshore production systems for oil and gas

Siemens and NTNU are cooperating in a large research programme on new tools and methods for control and optimisation of offshore production systems, including subsea flow lines and risers, platform process systems and power supply systems. The field of research covers several technical disciplines, and the PhD's/Postdoc will work in multi-disciplinary teams. Parts of the work will be carried out at Siemens' premises, and will be closely related to industrial applications. The engagement period is 4 years (include 25 % duties in the project) for PhD scholarships and 3 years for Post doctorate fellowships.

Salaries
PhD candidates are remunerated in code 1017 in the State salary scale 45-51, gross NOK 353 000 to NOK 391 500 per annum (before tax), depending on qualifications.
Postdoc fellows are remunerated in code 1352, in the State salary scale 57-76, gross NOK 435 500 to NOK 625 900 per annum (before tax), depending on qualifications. PhD candidates are normally remunerated at wage level 45, whereas Postdoc fellows are normally remunerated at wage level 57. There will be a 2 % deduction to The Norwegian Public Service Pension Fund from gross salary.
