The Role
Working with the Senior Production and Reservoir Engineers you will be tasked with carrying out reservoir simulation studies, economic evaluations and data gathering in support of managing the reservoirs and identifying opportunities for development.
In terms of what to expect from the role it is envisaged that the successful candidate will be involved in:
*Working with simulation models, under the direction of senior engineers, to build, validate and history match models and make prediction runs to forecast reservoir performance. Assist with data compilation and presentation preparation.
*Work with senior engineers to provide production forecasts from decline analysis and predict reservoir behaviour using material balance calculations.
*Collect, analyse and present well test data and reservoir implications.
*Work with Production and Reservoir Engineers to verify allocated oil, gas and water data and update databases or files.
*Gather data and assist with economic evaluations and justifications of development opportunities.
Education & Experience
Applicants for this post should hold a Master's in Petroleum Engineering or higher qualification.
In addition candidates should be able to demonstrate some reservoir simulation experience (outside of university project work) as well as a good level of economic awareness.
Reservoir engineering analytical skills sought for this role include; decline curve analysis, material balance, well test analysis, well performance modelling, PVT and SCAL analysis, facility constraint modelling.
