Lagt inn av: Sissel Sæther | |
Melding til: IVT Fakultetsadministrasjon Nettopp: Ledige stillinger The Norwegian government has established eight nasjonal research centers on climate friendly energy generation, one of which is the Norwegian Research Centre for Offshore Wind Technology (NOWITECH). NTNU, SINTEF and IFE are research partners and leading national and international companies are industrial partners(i.e. StatoilHydro, Statkraft,Vestas, Dong Energy and several more). Recognized international research organizations are collaborating with the Centre (i.e. MIT, DTU/Risø, NREL). We are collaborating with relevant centers at NTNU, such as Center for Ships and Ocean Structures (www.cesos.ntnu.no) and the Center for Integrated Operations in the Petroleum Industry (www.ntnu.no/iocenter). Already more than 30 professors and researchers are engaged in this field together with a significant number of PhD and postdocs. See www.sffe.no for more details. With the establishment of NOWITECH, the research in offshore wind in Norway is significantly increased. The industrial benefits of this enhanced research are anticipated to contribute to stronger marked position for Norwegian suppliers both in international as well as national markeds. The results of this focused research effort are also expected to more large scale use of offshore wind technology and thus reduse CO2 emissions and climate change. NOWITECH is planning to engage at least 25 PhDs and postdocs, and is announcing 15 positions for the first period of the research program. All applications shall include certified copies of academic transcript, CV and for foreign applicants TOFL score, and be submitted electronically through www.jobbnorge.no marking the application with the relevant IVT number as ID to access the database. You can only apply for a maximum of 3 positions, and the priority shall be indicated. The attachmentsto the applications shall be gathered in one single file. Application deadline: April 30th 2009. PhD Norway
MSc Petroleum Engineering Delft Netherlands
Master of Science Applied Earth Sciences
The two-year Master of Science in Applied Earth Sciences is a challenging Engineering Programme for students with wide-ranging backgrounds (petroleum engineering, chemical engineering, geology, geophysics, civil engineering, natural sciences) who are interested in and concerned about sustainable use of the earth’s resources in energy production problems (oil and gas), raw materials technology and geotechnical engineering.
You will be trained as a creative and independent thinker; an engineer with the ability and skills to tackle complex problems. In the first year you will take specialised modules, do lab work and go on a geological excursion. In the second year you will write a thesis under the supervision of a professor. Your last exam will be a defence of your thesis.
The courses and assignments are compiled by specialists who excel in their own disciplines. Many of them have close ties with industry. The study environment is international, with English as the working language. In addition to following the training and teaching programme, students may test practical cases against the scientific knowledge developed by our professors and researchers.
As a small community, AES is flexible with plenty of scope for staff and student interaction. As the programmes are broad-based with a strong international character, graduates can find employment in many industrial and academic domains.
There are four MSc tracks:
Oil and Gas Vacancy Reservoir Engineer US
Oil Gas Vacancy UK Lecturer employment
