Teaching duties will include the creation and delivery of an introductory course on "upstream" aspects of petroleum engineering.

The Sharjah Fellow in Water Resources will carry out research relevant to some aspect of hydrology and climate change, groundwater and aquifer management, desalinization and water treatment, water distribution and demand management. Teaching duties will include the creation and delivery of a course on water resources for Civil and Environmental Engineers.

These appointments will contribute to the Department of Engineering's strategic themes of energy, the environment and sustainability. They offer the opportunity to make creative advances in science and technology towards the effective management of our natural resources.
