Employed as a member of a team of pipeline engineers performing conceptual or detailed design engineering for a project
The Pipeline Design Engineer will be expected to undertake the following activities generally under the supervision and direction of a senior or lead engineer:
Performance of static and dynamic analyses for pipelines and
flowlines for installation and operating conditions, including sizing,
on bottom stability, allowable free span definition, bottom roughness,
in service buckling, route optimisation, fatigue analyses.
Production of calculation reports and input to and checking of drawings
Preparation of project specifications for materials, protection, concrete
coating, thermal insulation, cathodic protection, fabrication, welding,
hydrotest and installation for rigid or flexible flowlines and trunklines,
diverless connection and installation systems, subsea intervention works.
Conversant with national and international engineering standards,
codes and practices applicable to Cross countru pipeline design.
